2. Legal Basis of Collecting and Processing Your Personal Data
Applicable Law provides various legal bases for the Processing of Personal Data. Move Abroad IQ will Process your Personal Data where it determines that one or more of the following grounds apply:
- Contractual necessity: Processing is necessary to perform a contract to which you are a party, or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract. For example, to send marketing communications.
In specific countries, Applicable Law may permit the Processing of Personal Data based on Move Abroad IQ’s legitimate interests. Where this is the case, Move Abroad IQ will rely on this legal basis if the Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by Move Abroad IQ, a Partner, or a third party, provided that these interests are not outweighed by your rights and freedoms that require protection of your Personal Data.

Following an account deletion request, we will erase or archive from active use the Personal Data of the individual to which the requirement or request relates, unless we are required to retain it due to legal or regulatory requirements, for the purposes of safety, security, and fraud prevention, or because of an issue relating to your account such as an outstanding credit or an unresolved claim or dispute.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on browsers or devices by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements.
When you use our website, if you do not wish to share information collected through cookies with us, you may change your preferences at any time. This can be done by choosing to opt out of the use of cookies on our website when you visit or you can check your device provider’s instructions for further information about how to do this.
We use various types of cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on the Move Abroad IQ Platform. This Tracking Technology enables core functionality, improves performance, analyzes user behaviour, and helps deliver relevant advertisements. Some of these cookies are set by us, while others are placed by trusted third-party providers. Move Abroad IQ uses different categories of tracking technology on the Platform. The tracking technologies used across the Platform, and the parties that serve them, may vary depending on jurisdiction and technology.
9. Your Rights Regarding Personal Data
Subject to and to the extent required by Applicable Law, and subject to the conditions, limitations and exemptions set out in this section and under Applicable Law, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to the Personal Data we hold about you: (a) to request access to your Personal Data and information about how it is Processed; (b) to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data; (c) to request the erasure of your Personal Data; (d) to request the restriction of, or to object to, certain Processing of your Personal Data; (e) to request a copy of certain Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format; and (f) to withdraw any consent you have given to Processing, at any time.
The rights described in this section are not absolute. They apply only where, and to the extent that, Applicable Law grants them to you, and they are subject to the exemptions, restrictions and derogations available under Applicable Law. In particular, we may decline a request, in whole or in part, where: (a) the Personal Data must be retained to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; (b) the request affects the rights, freedoms or confidentiality of another person, or would require the disclosure of commercially sensitive or proprietary information; (c) the Personal Data is retained for the purposes of safety, security, fraud prevention, or the integrity of our systems and records; (d) an issue relating to your account remains unresolved, including any outstanding balance, claim or dispute; or (e) the request is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
Withdrawal of consent applies only to Processing carried out after the withdrawal takes effect and does not affect the lawfulness of any Processing carried out before that time, nor any Processing carried out on a legal basis other than consent. If you withdraw a consent that is necessary for the provision of the Services — including your consent to the sharing of your details with Partners — we may be unable to provide, or to continue providing, some or all of the Services to you, and your withdrawal shall not affect Personal Data already shared with Partners prior to the withdrawal.
Once your Personal Data has been shared with a Partner in accordance with this Privacy Notice, that Partner Processes your Personal Data as an independent data controller under its own privacy notice. Requests concerning a Partner's Processing of your Personal Data — including requests for access to, correction of, or erasure of Personal Data held by that Partner — should be directed to the relevant Partner. We are not responsible for, and this Section does not apply to, Processing carried out by Partners.
To exercise any of your rights, please submit a request through Contact Us form. To protect your Personal Data, we may require you to verify your identity, and to provide such information as we reasonably require to locate the relevant Personal Data and to assess your request, before we take any action. We may decline to act on a request until satisfactory verification has been provided, and the time taken for verification shall not count toward any response period under Applicable Law.
We will respond to valid requests within the period required by Applicable Law or, where no period is prescribed, within a reasonable time. Where permitted by Applicable Law, we may extend the response period, having regard to the complexity and number of requests, and will inform you of any extension. Where permitted by Applicable Law, we may charge a reasonable fee for, or refuse to act on, requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive, including by reason of their volume or frequency.
We will fulfil requests in the manner and to the extent required by Applicable Law. The erasure of Personal Data may be effected by deletion, anonymization or archival from active systems, as appropriate, and residual copies may persist in backup and disaster-recovery systems for a limited period until overwritten in the ordinary course, during which they are not used for any other purpose.
10. Changes to this Privacy Note
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make significant changes in the way we treat your Personal Data, or to the Privacy Notice, we will provide you notice through the Services or by some other means, such as email or a push notification.
To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes your consent to the changes to the extent permitted by law.
